Noodle Soup with Cucumber
I
must confess to having the occasional secret craving for a bowl of noodle soup
(those little ramen packets you can get 10 for a dollar). There's scarcely a trace of nutrition in
them, and they don't keep you satisfied for more than an hour or two, but
sometimes it's just what I want. Today
was one of those days, but for some bizarre reason, I added a chopped
cucumber. It was good having something to
crunch into while slurping the broth and noodles. Some day when I have the luxury of standing
around making up recipes that might be awful, I'm going to do a ramen
series. I think I'll skip ramen for
breakfast, but the other meals could all be respectable. Try adding some cucumber next time you make
noodle soup and see what you think.
