Pork Chops with Apple Cumin Glaze

Barbecue season is upon
us. That means my husband thinks he's
cooking while I do all the real work inside. Some day when we're really rich, I'll find a solution to this. For now, I trade his cooking skills for
back rubs and it seems to work. This pork
chop recipe was made on a charcoal grill, but you could just as easily bake, broil or sauté it. The point is to get it cooked somehow and I
wouldn't stress too much over that. Good
flavors mixed with cooked meat is the point. Life should be easy. Food should
be good. Give it a shot.

Grilled Apple Cumin Pork
Chops Recipe

Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider
    vinegar

  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

  • 1/4 cup tamari sauce

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 2 tablespoons white wine

Meat:

  • 2 center cut pork chops,
    about 1-inch thick(1 per person)

  • (include the bone if you have
    dog to share with)

Mix the sauce together in a small sauce pot and
bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and
cook down about 10 or 15 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the grill. Pour
the sauce over the chops in a glass pan and let sit till the grill's ready, up
to 20 minutes (after that, refrigerate until read for cooking). Put chops on grill, then
return sauce to pot and boil about 5 minutes. Use remaining sauce as glaze and brush over chops while cooking till
done, about 8 minutes or so per side.
